Sea kayak Epidaurus

Kayaking in Epidaurus offers a unique blend of natural beauty and ancient history. Starting from Yialasi Beach, just a short walk from the town center, paddlers can head west toward the Sunken City—an underwater archaeological site often referred to as Argolida’s “Lost Atlantis.” Along the way, there’s a stunning view of the Methana Volcano rising in the distance.

The Sunken City, dating back to around 1200 BC, lies just a few meters from the shore and only two meters below the surface, making it easily visible from a kayak. Submerged remains include stone walls, large amphorae, building foundations, and even sections of the original breakwater. The shallow, clear waters offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling, underwater photography, and observing colorful marine life.
